Seismic Analysis and Special Analysis

SD ENG conducts an optimized seismic analysis of the civil structures, including power generation facilities, to ensure their safety under environmental conditions by incorporating the soil-structure interaction (SSI) effects in the dynamic characteristics.


SD ENG performs dynamic analysis for external explosions or artificial impact loads to evaluate the structural resistance and secure intended structural safet.


SD ENG also provides solutions for developing facility management plans for postulated accident scenarios.

Soil – Structure Interaction

SD ENG is performing soil-structure interaction analysis using state-of-art techniques in order to reflect detailed earthquake effects in structure design.


SD ENG ensures the safety required by regulatory agencies through analysis of the soil-structure interaction required for nuclear power plants design.

Development of seismic analysis model

SD ENG develops seismic analysis models for nuclear power plant major buildings using the new technology related to seismic response, creates artificial time histories, and provides technical support for licensing.

Special Structure Analysis and Design

SD ENG is developing environmental leakage evaluation elementary technology and probabilistic leakage vulnerability evaluation technology for containment buildings, and performing ultimate pressure capacity evaluation. 


In addition, SD ENG is carrying out tasks such as developing 3D CAD models for severe accident management plans and 3D CAD models necessary for the operation of cyber power plants introduced to improve nuclear power plant safety.
